Sveltekit Portfolio App

WIP: Trying out SvelteKit and TypeScript to make a type safe, server rendered (SSR), multipage web application (MPA). Still in progress, and not hosted yet.

About

The most structured app I've built so far. I'm proud of being able to outsource logic to global typed ts data stores, so I can use them across all the components in the web app. I'm learning a lot and blown away from all that you can achieve from a few simple lines of code with SvelteKit.

This is still a work in progress, I'm currently prototyping the content solution and layout design so a gh-pages deployment workflow hasn't been set up yet. Only way to view it so far is via local hosting.

Creating a project

If you're seeing this, you've probably already done this step. Congrats!

# create a new project in the current directory
npm create svelte@latest

# create a new project in my-app
npm create svelte@latest my-app

Developing

Once you've created a project and installed dependencies with npm install (or pnpm install or yarn), start a development server:

npm run dev

# or start the server and open the app in a new browser tab
npm run dev -- --open

Building

To create a production version of your app:

npm run build

You can preview the production build with npm run preview.

To deploy your app, you may need to install an adapter for your target environment.
